Podsednik was drafted out of West High School in the 3rd round 85th overall, in the 1994 Amateur Draft by the Texas Rangers. Scott Podsednik is an 8 year veteran outfielder of Major League Baseball.
Podsednik led the major leagues in stolen bases in 2004 with 70. In 2005, Podsednik finished second in the American League in stolen bases with 59 despite missing several games due to injury. He was voted by fans to represent the Chicago White Sox in the 2005 All Star Game, the first of his career. Podsednik’s success as a leadoff hitter was one of the key contributions to the 2005 White Sox World Series Championship.
